Recently we have been too often witnessing of actions offending Islam, its symbols and principles. Yet another sample of this notorious trend occurred on October 6 when Danish state TV aired a video footage showing a number of drunk and drugged members of youth wing of Danish People's Party at a summer camp in August, engaged in a competition to draw humiliating images of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It happens in a time, when the leading politicians and public figures from West and Islamic countries are advocating self-restrain in the aftermath of previous notorious caricature scandal.

H.H. Benedict XVI, the Pope in his lecture given on Tuesday 12 September 2006 at the University of Regensburg in Germany, entitled “Faith, Reason, and the University Memories and Reflections”, has characterized Prophet Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him), as a person “spreading” Islam “by the sword” , who brought “evil” and “inhuman things”, quoting from Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus’ thoughts . While forcing such quotation defined by the Pope himself as “marginal to the dialogue as a whole” into his lecture he failed separate his position from that of the medieval ruler in the midst of battle for preservation of his political power.

The world community is witnessing the third week of Israel’s military agression against Lebanon in continuiation to its inadequate assual against the civilian targets in the Palestinian Authority. Up to day in Lebanon about 500 civilians were killed among whom overhelming majority are innocent children, women and elders; hundreds of houses, factories and other vital infrastructura facilities were destroyed. According to the last reports a number of internal displaced people estimated to reach over 700 000 ones.
